Avoiding Mergers

This shows a  border merger because the picture cuts off kids in the left and right side of the image. If the kids were to be seen and weren't cut off they would be avoiding mergers. This picture i picked shows the rule of Avoiding Mergers because the image is cutting off kids in the left side and the rigth side of the image this shows that they didn't avoid a merger making this image a Border Merger.

This shows framing because the trees form a frame around the picture. This picture i picked shows the rule of framing because the trees are forming a frame in the lower part  of the image.

Balance

This picture shows balance  because it shows lady liberty balancing and holding her hand up. This picture i picked shows the rule of balance because the  statue is balancing with her foot bent a little an her hand in the air.

Lines

This picture shows lines because the background is a building and it has lines going starlight down. This picture i picked shows the rule of lines because the building has lines and it leads the eye to the guy falling.

Rule of Thirds

This picture shows the Rule of thirds because the flag is in the lower right corner of the picture. This picture i picked meets The  Rule of Thirds because if i were to make lines on the image that broke it apart the flag will be in the lower right corner of the image.

Simplicity

This image shows simplicity because the background is simple( is the sky). This photo i picked meets the rule of simplicity because the background is blue and there's nothing going on in the background that will grab you attention to that, instead of the burning building.

Elements of Art  Line- Lines are marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color. Shape - Shapes are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.   Color - Color wheels show the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary (intermediate) colors. They also show the relationships between complementary colors across from each other, such as blue and orange; and analogous (similar or related) colors next to each other such as yellow, green, and blue. Black and white may be thought of as colors but, in fact, they are not. White light is the presence of all color; black is the absence of reflected light and therefore the absence of color. ...
