Self portrait and Portraits preview

Image
Tips: 1.  A good practice to get into when you're taking self-portraits is to use a mix of auto and manual focus. First, focus on your stand-in object using auto focus. Then, with the object still in focus, switch your lens to manual focus. This will give you the freedom to tweak settings, re-meter for changing light and anything else you need to all without screwing up your established point of focus. Just make sure you stand perfectly on your mark each time you take a photo. 2. a single flash can do wonders for your portraits. I won’t go into any lighting details, but photography is about capturing light. You don’t need to buy a flash, I first started learning lighting using work lights. You can pick up a small but powerful work light from home depot for around ~$15. 3. The settings in which you make pictures of people are important because they add to the viewer's understanding of your subject. The room in which a person lives or works, their house, th...

Great Black and White Photographers Part 3

Image
1.) What first caught your eye while looking at your photographers photos? Is there something in particular about their photos that made you want to choose them?  What caught my eye while looking at the first photo of the photographer was they way he used the mannequins to make it look like they were real woman standing if you saw the image from far away , and what caught my eye with the second photographers image was the way she used the black and white to make the image look even more sad that it would have looked with color. What i see and feel when i see the picture . I sense  sadness and mystery but at the same time you can see that  they are angry on the inside and are trying hard to stay with their head up high but seem hopeless.and they look like they are drowning in their thoughts. What i hear I hear thunder and rain falling from the sky What i smell rain and mud I taste chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake chocolate everything.

mural project preview

A theme that i could use here at school to make a mural that tells a unique story is the school spirit for example using the homecoming, the different school clothing they have like the shirts the cheerleader uniforms the mascot , the events they have like blue and gold night etc.   This theme is worth devoting time and effort to capture because is stuff that happens throughout the school year and it shows how much the whole school population has spirit on this school . In a phone camera you cant adjust images as you want them . The  advantages from a phone camera is that you can filter the image and take an image with the front camera and the back camera   A advantage that an SLR camera has is that  you have different adjustment to choose from and you can manipulate the distance an focus when taking a picture. A disadvantage is that you cant filter an image after you take it and it doesn't have a second lens like a phone has a back and front camer...

Reactions to Power Point Presentation

Image
This image shows 4 cheetahs they look like a family , and they are standing on a hill or a rock looking around. This was my favorite image because first of all i like cheetahs and second because i like their posture. The rules that i see in this image are balance and simplicity , i see balance because of their posture and simplicity because the background is simple. About Nick Brandt The type of camera that Nick Brandt used to shoot this image was a Pentax 67II with only tow fixed lenses. The reason why he took this images was to memorialize the vanishing natural grandeur of East Africa. His hope by taking this type of photos is to show the animals sleeplessness in the state of being , int he state of being before they are no  longer are. What he thinks about Africa and its wild animals." This world is under terrible threat, all of it caused by us. To me, every creature, human or nonhuman, has an equal right to live, and this feeling, this belief that every animal and...

Academic shoot posted

Image
1. How well did you follow the rule?  I followed the framing rule really well because the red corners are framing the image 2. What is the subject (be very very specific)?  The subject is to capture academic pictures but also adding rules to what type of picture you take and making sure the image matches a rule. 3. Is it clear to people looking at your photos what the subject is? Most of them are clear for example my framing , avoiding mergers, rule of thirds, and balance photos are clear for people to see what the subject is. 4. If you didn't follow the rule well, what could you have done differently? If i dint follow the rule well , i could have followed the definition of each rule for it to help me out what the rule meant and at least give me an idea of what it should look like.
